Has this ever happened to you?

Happy November 1st everyone! Can you believe that 2014 is almost over? It has been one busy, crazy, hectic year! It’s easy to say that Leave A Legacy has transferred, digitized, and preserved thousand of memories for our clients. Everything from family home movies, weddings, and vacations, to birthdays and beyond!

Today I would like to talk about Digital Media. Things like cellphones, tablets, SD cards, micro SD cards, 3.5″ floppy discs, thumb drives, external hard drives, zip discs, digital cameras, and old laptops can hold countless past memories that you may have not transferred yet. Alright, no it’s time for Leave A Legacy’s FACT OF THE WEEK!

Did you know:
Due to the long exposure times of Victorian photography, the mothers of children getting a portrait done would be camouflaged into the scenery.

Back in those days, photography wasn’t a snap. It took minutes to create one single photograph. That’s why people never smiled! It took too long for the exposure and the smile would look forced on insincere.

When it came to photos of just children, in order to keep them still, the mother would have to be disguised into the background or even as a chair to keep the children still.
